Well met Adventurer!

I'm Zack, the guy behind the screen at Dungeon Soap.

Join me on my quest to do three things:

- Level up your skin care

- Banish the stinky nerd stereotype

- Play more TTRPGs

ok.. who are you though?

About me

If you couldn't tell from the context clues, I'm a pretty big fantasy nerd. I spend a lot of time playing video games and board games, but I really love TTRPGs.

I'm the forever DM of my group, and we've been playing together for years; even through the pandemic, cross-country moves, and the dreaded scheduling monster!

The amount of time I spend doing random world building (that I knew my table would never see) lead to me posting ideas online. You're welcome to steal them for your game!

Anyway.. all that, my three cats (don't worry, they're kept out of the loot) and Dungeon Soap try to keep me inside as much as possible. Everyone needs a little fresh air though, so I get out for hiking, biking, and disc golf when I can.

That's great, but why are you doing this?

Starting the adventure

Originally, this was all a solo mission for better skin care, but I wasn't really interested in any of the brands that were out there.

Now I'm not saying they don't have great products, but they weren't really checking the right boxes for me.

Dungeon Soap was born in late 2021 as a way to check off all the boxes for myself, but the fire was really stoked by two things:

- A way to rebel against the stinky nerd stereotype

- The rise of hyper-masculine brands and ads

Alright.. what do you stand for though?

Ethics and goals

Transparency, quality, and sustainability are the driving forces behind all of the decisions at Dungeon Soap.

The ingredients are sustainably sourced and cruelty free, plus all shipping is carbon neutral through contributions to Shopify Planet.

Because of limited ability to recycle plastic, everything is packaged in cardboard or glass containers.

This all comes with impacts to the bottom line, unfortunately, but it's a cost I'm happy to shoulder to run a better business.

The goal for me at the end of the day is to get people great products, give them useable TTRPG ideas, and to banish the stinky nerd stereotype.

Easy right?
